The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in the United States of America will take part in the virtual launch of “America’s Voices Against Apartheid (AVAA)”. AVAA is an initiative of the National African American Drug Policy Coalition, Howard University Republic of South Africa Project, the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg and other U.S. and South African partners, highlighting the contributions of American citizens and organizations in the global anti-apartheid movement. Funding for the project comes from the U.S. Mission South Africa.

Flights to South Africa & Beyond

Dear All,

Please be advised that South African Airways is planning an additional repatriation flight from Washington, DC-Dulles to Johannesburg on 16 July. The flight will depart Washington, DC-Dulles at 7:40PM and arrive Johannesburg (17 July) at 4:50PM.

Any Citizens wishing to take up this opportunity need to register for this flight on the SAA website at www.flysaa.com. The registration for the flight closes on Tuesday, 7 July. Please note that this is only a registration and that the operation of this flight will depend upon the passenger demand.

All Bookings, Payments and logistics for the flight will be handled exclusively by SAA and not the South African Embassy or its Consulates.

If you have registered with the Embassy and/or Consulates in the US, your verified information will be forwarded to SAA. You do not need to make any further registrations with the Embassy and/or Consulates for clearance to travel.

SAA has the most frequent daily flights to Cape Town. Buy flight tickets from Johannesburg to fly to destinations like London, New York, Hong Kong and more.
