We regret to inform you that the 2020-21 American Law Program will not take place due to SARS-COV-2 restrictions and their far-reaching consequences.

More information available below.

Dear ALP Friends,

we regret to inform you that the 2020-2021 American Law Program will not take place due to SARS-COV-2 restrictions and their far-reaching consequences.

The ALP team from Jagiellonian University and The Catholic University of America followed developments closely hoping that we would be able to offer the 21st year of the ALP in 2020-21. Sadly, flight restrictions, foreign arrival regulations, and health and safety concerns render the situation too uncertain to proceed with this year’s program. Interactive classes in small groups along with opportunities for professors and students to meet socially outside class are hallmarks of the program, and these are not possible in current conditions.

However, Jagiellonian University and The Catholic University of America partners have been planning a free online lecture series called Contemporary Challenges in American and Global Law for students and law graduates interested in English-language discussion of current legal topics. Lectures will be presented by professors at the Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America as well as LL.M. Program graduates holding prestigious positions all around the world.

Further information will soon be publicized on the website of www.okspo.wpia.uj.edu.pl as well as on our facebook of www.facebook.com/szkolaprawaamerykanskiego

We are looking forward to seeing you (online) in the year 2020-2021 and again (hopefully, in person) in the year 2021-2022! All best wishes for the health of you and those close to you.

Best regards
CUA & JU ALP & LL.M. staff
