Hello Jammers!
While we're all digging ourselves out after Snowzilla, I thought I'd send along some important info for the site!
If you have not seen it already, there is a $25 fee to participate in the AU GGJ site. You can pay that fee here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/global-game-jam-2016-tickets-19955064134 We will be checking the jammer list against the list of people who have paid during sign in, so please take care of this early as we will not be collecting cash on-site.
From 4:30 - 6 pm, IGDA DC will be holding pre-jam workshops in AU's Mary Graydon Center room 332. If you arrive from 4 pm - 6 pm, you may check in in this space. Check-in for people not attending the workshops will begin in front of McKinley Hall 101 at 5:15. The schedule for the workshops will be:
4:30 - 5: Andrew Eiche, North Star Games - 5 Unity features that will save your game jam
5 - 5:30: Melanie Stegman, Molecular Jig games - Techniques for building player agency
5:30 - 6: Andrew Eiche, North Star Games - Team Management and Production for Game James
IGDA DC will also hold a sound design workshop at 6pm on Saturday in McKinley Hall room 101 during the mid-jam check-in, during which you may playtest games and take a well-deserved break.
The jam schedule is here if you have not seen it on the AU GGJ page. Please note building locations in red and refer to the AU campus map if you need to find your way: https://www.american.edu/aumaps/upload/campus_map.pdf. Signs will be posted in buildings of where to go:
