European Investment Bank Releases Development Handbook, with PTF Assistance | Partnership for Transparency Fund

PTF advisers assisted in the preparation of the European Investment Bank's new Development Handbook: a Guidance Note for EIB Stakeholder Engagement, which addresses the importance of anti-corruption measures in development. "The EIB will not tolerate Prohibited Conduct (i.e., corruption, fraud, collusion, coercion, obstruction, money laundering, and terrorist financing) in its activities or operations."

The EU supports several hundred civil society organizations in Northern Shan, Mandalay, Magwe, Yangon, Kayin, Mon and Tanintharyi to reach out to communities with information on how to stay healthy and prevent the spread of #COVID19. The LRC - Local Resources Centre (Myanmar) leads the civic engagement networks to run awareness campaigns and donate urgently needed hygiene material and food to quarantine centers that are hosting returning migrants.

The EU co-financed “Promoting Equitable and Accountable Civic Engagement” (PEACE) project has adapted its activities to help responding to the #coronavirus in Myanmar. The project is jointly implemented by Helvetas Myanmar the Local Resource Center and the Partnership for Transparency - PTF e.V..
