We met with ’s office today to discuss the urgent need for secure Internet access for the people of Iran. We urged Senator Padilla to cosponsor the Iran Human Rights, Internet Freedom, and Accountability Act (S. 3900) and the FREEDOM Act (S. 3360).

These bipartisan bills would help the Iranian people stay connected during regime-imposed internet blackouts, document human rights abuses, and access independent information. We hope Senator Padilla will join as a cosponsor.

July was another productive month for our grassroots advocacy efforts.

Together, our dedicated volunteers held numerous in person meetings on Capitol Hill and virtual meetings via Zoom with congressional offices to keep the voices of the Iranian people front and center.

Every meeting, every conversation, and every volunteer effort helps build momentum. Grassroots advocacy works, and we remain committed to standing with the people of Iran until they achieve freedom.

Thank you to every volunteer who dedicated their time and to every congressional office that met with us throughout July. Together, we continue to make a difference.

Today, We met with Senator Rochester’s office to discuss the importance of:
applying pressure to the Islamic Republic, maintaining sanctions, supporting the Iranian people and their transitional leader, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.

We are very grateful to have had this meeting, and hope to see more support for Iranian people throughout the congress.

Members of Mahsa Advocacy Group met with Senator Schmidt ’s team today to discuss internet access in Iran, support for the transitional leadership of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, and the importance of maintaining maximum pressure against the Islamic Republic in Iran.

We appreciate the staffer’s time and interest and greatly look forward to more support for the Iranian people from congress.

Today, members of the Mahsa Advocacy Group met with Representative Brittney Pettersen ’s office to discuss the importance of maintaining military and economic pressure on the Islamic Republic, supporting the Iranian people, particularly by expanding access to a free and open internet, and addressing the ongoing national security and global threat posed by the regime.

During the meeting, we highlighted the Islamic Republic’s continued human rights abuses, and the role of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as the Iranian people’s transitional leader.

We are grateful for the opportunity to meet with Representative Pettersen’s team and appreciate their time and engagement.

Today, we were back on Capitol Hill for a series of in person advocacy meetings alongside NUFDI, meeting with congressional offices to discuss the urgent need to stand with the people of Iran.

Every meeting is an opportunity to educate, build bipartisan support, and ensure that the voices of the Iranian people are heard in Congress. Meaningful change happens through persistent, grassroots advocacy, and we are grateful to every congressional office that took the time to meet with us.

Thank you to and to every advocate who continues to dedicate their time and energy to this mission. Together, we will keep pushing forward until Iran is free.
