Title I Family Engagement

Dear DCPS Families,

Each year parents and family members must have an opportunity to provide input around key Title 1 policies and school level compacts. Throughout the month of May 2020, the DCPS Family and Community Engagement Division is conducting online engagement on drafts of three critical Title 1 documents:
• Local educational agency (LEA) Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy- ESEA Section §1116(a)(2)(A)
• School-Level Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy (Template for Schools to Customize in SY20-21) - ESEA §1116(b)
• School Parent Compact (Template for Schools to Customize in SY20-21)- Title I, Part A Non-Regulatory Guidance (ESEA §1118(b)).
These documents are for School Year 2020-21 and will be used at the district and school-levels to guide parent and family engagement in our Title 1 schools.

To review the current drafts and share feedback, please go directly to our online Public Input Platform. If you have questions about the engagement please contact [email protected].
