ITRC is a public-private coalition working to reduce barriers to the use of innovative environmental technologies that reduce compliance costs and maximize cleanup efficacy. ITRC produces documents and training that broaden and deepen technical knowledge and expedite quality regulatory decision making while protecting human health and the environment. ITRC achieves its mission through its technical teams, which are composed of environmental professionals, including state and federal environmental regulators, federal agency representatives, industry experts, community stakeholders, and academia. Since 1995, ITRC has published hundreds of documents and reached tens of thousands of participants through training courses on hundreds of topics. With private and public sector members from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, ITRC truly provides a national perspective. Overseen by The Environmental Research Institute of the States (ERIS) and the The Environmental Council of the States (ECOS).

We're excited to announce that registration is officially open for our Virtual Spring Meeting, Springing Ahead, running from April 13-22, 2021.

This year's Annual Spring Meeting will be a virtual gathering of ITRC members and non-members alike; a FREE opportunity to learn more about ITRC and the technical teams. Special items to look for in the ITRC Spring Plenary Session (April 13, 2021) include a panel of Environmental Justice experts and a virtual ceremony for the presentation of our Lifetime Achievement and Impact Awards, as well as an optional overview of our 2021 project teams.

We would like to wish a heartfelt congratulations to longtime member Claudio Sorrentino on his appointment to the Emerging Science Standing Committee at the National Academy of the Sciences!

Claudio has made an immense impact with ITRC over the years as a team leader for Risk Assessment, Bioavailability in Contaminated Soil, and Soil Background & Risk Teams, including in 2015 when he was awarded ITRC Team Leader of the Year. He has also served on several other impactful ITRC teams in his tenure with ITRC thus far.

Tersus Environmental is holding a seminar for one of our popular internet-based trainings, Remediation Management of Complex Sites. This training course and its associated guidance: Remediation Management of Complex Sites (RMCS-1, 2017), provide a recommended holistic process for management of challenging sites, termed “adaptive site management;” a comprehensive, flexible, and iterative process that is well-suited for sites where there is significant uncertainty in remedy performance predictions.
