THE EMPIRE STRIKES AGAIN
I watch as US Democ rats, CNN and the Obama Fan Club (OFC) scramble frantically to strip Trump's Friday strike on Soleimani of any possible credibility or justification.
CNN is particularly vexed that the US President did not propose his plan first to Congress. But with its hostile majority of Democ rats, I am sure the man knew that if he had done so, he would effectively have been discussing it on live news with the aptly-named Wolf Blitzer or the other character, Jake Tapper! In that case, he might as well have saved himself the trouble and presented the proposal directly to Ayatollah Khameini himself for kind consideration!
Now, I am neither American nor Iranian and will very willingly leave the unfortunate affair to both nations and their leaders to navigate the best they can. Suffice it to say that I am no fan of the spillage of blood. I would prefer that people make love all day than make war even for a minute.
Then each time I sneak a reluctant peek at the TV screen to get an update, CNN keeps showing me the mangled car that Soleimani had been traveling in. Knowing that network, the intention is quite obvious: to extract the maximum sympathy from all of us and direct the fullest opprobrium at Donald Trump, their mortal enemy, who had the temerity to defeat Clinton and Obama back in '17. Going by their reportage, CNN might easily be another name for Iran TV.
However, to me, all this has more than a hint of chickens coming home to roost. I remember with eternal anger how Obama, Sarkozy and Clinton had Moammar Ghadafi humiliated, tortured, brutalized, sodomized and murdered. The General of renascent Pan African idealism, the architect of our hopeful single currency, was ignonomously displayed naked on a blood-soaked butcher's slab in a meat cold room in Sirte, for the whole world to ridicule. Democ rats applauded! CNN gloated! Obama fans yelped! Africans were muted.
When I remember that horrible day, 'plenty water comin' from me eye' and I can only observe that, to his dubious credit, Trump was mercifully more clinical and professional.
President Donald J. Trump delivers comments on the Iraq airstrike
We Will Give America Harsh And Crushing Retaliation- Ali Khamenei, lran's Supreme Leader
Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei warned that "a harsh retaliation is waiting" and also announced a three-day mourning across Iran.
He said the killing of Soleimani, who he considered a close friend and confidant, would double the motivation of the resistance against the US and Israel.
"All enemies should know that the jihad of resistance will continue with a doubled motivation, and a definite victory awaits the fighters in the holy war," Khamenei said in a statement carried by state TV.
Mohsen Rezaei, the former commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, also warned the US of "revenge".
"He [Soleimani] joined his martyred brothers, but we will take vigorous revenge on America," Rezaei, who is now the secretary of a powerful state body, said in a post on Twitter.
Reporting from Tehran, Al Jazeera's Dorsa Jabbari said that a strong Iranian response was expected.
"There's a clear indication that there will be a military response at some point.
"It is seen as a hostile act on an Iranian general who was not there in an official military capacity. Qassem Soleimani was in Iraq on an advisory role.
"The supreme leader has said that this glorious, grandiose, and great fighter has now been martyred. He said he was one of the great followers of the late Ayotollah Khomeini, the founder of the Revolutionary Guard.
"His death by the US is being seen as an act of war and it will certainly have a very strong response," Jabari said.
The number 1 Iranian bad guy taken down.
I BELIEVE, TRUMP MADE UP HIS MIND, AFTER ALL THESE!
“It is beneath the dignity of our president to respond to you. I, as a soldier, respond to you.”
“We are near you, where you can’t even imagine. … We are ready. We are the man of this arena.”
“Trump should know that we are the nation of martyrdom and that we await him.”
“You know this war will destroy all that you possess. You will start this war, but we will be the ones to impose its end. … You know our power in the region and our capabilities in asymmetric warfare.”

Former Head, Quds Force
