National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS

National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS In partnership with our state associations, congressional delegations, and membership, NGAUS enables effective communication of our message to continuously improve the lives of our soldiers, airmen and their families, employers and all Guard retirees.
(16)

Established in 1878 by militia officers to obtain better equipment and training by petitioning Congress for more resources, NGAUS continues that mission today, seeking modern equipment, training, mission and personnel benefits in support of over 470,000 men and women currently serving in the Army and Air National Guard, as well as their families, employers and all Guard retirees.

Mission: The National Guard Association of the United States serves as America’s strongest advocate for promoting the highest levels of relevance, readiness, modernization and quality of life for our National Guard Family.

A message from the NGAUS President, BG J. Roy Robinson:

Even in a year so trying on so many levels, this is a time to be grateful for every blessing we've received. For NGAUS, the biggest is a strong and supportive membership. Wishing you and yours all a safe, happy, and healthy holiday.

Today is Veterans Day, the one day every year the nation honors all who have served, whether in war or in peace. If you have worn the cloth of our county, enjoy this day and humbly accept the gratitude of your family, friends and fellow Americans. Also, be proud, not just today but every day. Each year, #VeteransDay is observed on Nov. 11, regardless of the day of the week. Why Nov. 11? It’s the day that signifies the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when World War I ended.

The holiday was originally called Armistice Day and was observed for the first time on Nov. 11, 1919 — the first anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday from Armistice Day to Veterans Day - a day to honor American veterans of all wars for their patriotism and willingness to serve and sacrifice.

These photos feature the 369th Infantry Regiment from the New York Army #NationalGuard. During WWI, the 369th spent 191 days in frontline trenches, more than any other American unit. They also suffered the most losses of any American regiment with 1,500 casualties. Their courage made headlines across the country, hailing the African-American regiment as heroes even as they faced discrimination at home. As we take time tomorrow to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of veterans everywhere, "thank you" for continuing their legacy and for all you do every day to support our Nation and its ideals.

"It's been an unprecedented year in recruiting," said Army Lt. Col. Damon Hogsten, chief of the Army Guard's Strength Maintenance Division, who oversees recruiting efforts. Senators urge Pentagon to suspend implementation of Army’s new fitness test

Democratic senators appealed Tuesday for support of a legislative proposal that would suspend implementation of the Army’s new fitness test, arguing that the high-profile initiative to improve physical readiness is based on faulty data and could undermine the goal of creating a diverse force.

The high-profile initiative to improve soldier fitness has created a stark gender gap and concerns it could compound diversity problems.

Help save our historical veteran statues. ANTIFA and BLM have teamed up to destroy and/or remove all confederate veteran statues in the United States. They have begun a campaign of hate against U.S. Civil War history (Confederacy), our historical statues, the Christian religion, and our nationwide police forces. I believe ALL military and veterans will be next! As a Vietnam veteran, I believe history should be saved - not destroyed. Please sign the petition and forward it to all military, veterans, friends and family for them to sign. Dr. Russ Steuber
Links to Freedom Friends - COVID-19 has dramatically affected all of us. But the Links to Freedom (L2F) team continues to persevere as we plan to get our program back on track this fall and endeavor to host the Links to Freedom Cup on Monday, October 5 at the Springfield Golf Country Club. Today, we celebrate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Of significance in that sacrifice, is how families adapt to their new reality. One of the stalwart heroes, who has worked through the loss of her Service Member, is Ursula Palmer. She is a proud Gold Star family member and Links to Freedom alumni. This weekend, the National Memorial Day concert will mention Ursula and her family and highlight her progress toward healing and honoring her late husband. One of the steps she took was to learn how to play golf in our Links to Freedom program. Subsequently, Ursula became an avid L2F supporter and volunteer. Her National Memorial Day concert piece is here: https://www.pbs.org/national-memorial-day-concert/about/past-stories/a-gold-star-widows-journey/ Links to Freedom is forever grateful to have Ursula and her family as alumni for life. We encourage all military, Veterans and their families to friend us on FB, visit our webpage at www.linkstofreedom.org and find a way to support L2F. From volunteering to sponsoring, you can help L2F make an impact on our hero community. Have a safe Memorial Day. Stay healthy. Steve Greiner Executive Director PGA Professional

As an odontologist specializing in bad breath with nearly 40 years in practice, I have a pretty good idea what causes it and how best to eliminate bad breath. I invented, patented and sell an anti-bad breath toothbrush through my Veteran owned company, the neutralizerPLUS+ toothbrush that was also taped for ABC’s Shark Tank. I sell my anti-bad breath toothbrush nationally with profits going to several Veteran assistance programs, one being the Warrior Foundation that assists wounded veterans transition from a military lifestyle to a civilian lifestyle. Even though bad breath is socially offensive, it is also one of the first signs of infection. Infections increase white blood cell counts, create fatigue and can slowly cause vital organ failures related to the heart, the lungs, liver and kidney. That said, pay attention to your bad breath by neutralizing it. Share these video sites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqf8426vw1A , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faWN2fJJuxQ&feature=youtu.be , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-13B9iAUOz8&feature=youtu.be so the word gets out to better help our veterans. Its funny.. I just read youre piece on the new Blackhawk order and later that day I saw 6..this is only odd because I served at a SAR/CSAR wing and we used the Pave Hawk...so every time a friend would say hey there's a Blackhawk I'd say you see that refueling rod coming out the side...that's a Pave Hawk..remember a month or 2 ago when everybody thought something was shady happening in during a nighttime training mission where they were saying all kinds of things Blackhawks and men or aliens on the side of the birds and they had cloaking devices lol this one YOUTUBE Video is called:Why The Los Angeles Military Helicopter Operation Was So 'Cloaked' in Secrecy.. I was trying to tell people again lol you see those rods coming out of the front, those are Pave Hawks and Little birds which are only used by the USAF in concert with little birds in SAR the so-called cloaking device was the Helicopter rotor blades from the sky because the little bird is round looking they thought it was cloaked lol plus you add the blue little they carried is what we use in SAR,If you only new the 100 of videos that surface talking with off-brand tactical words try to make it seem like an attack or an HVT arrest lol
NICE POST GOOD SHOOT CHRIS HERE FROM YOU REALLY SOON .
Now that the convention is over, when is NGAUS going to get involved in having our earned but stolen benefit returned? I refer to the unilateral theft of our use of the European AFRC, Edelweiss Lodge & Resort. The German Government has stated on three occasions that, contrary to the first report, the use of the facility by retirees and currently serving U.S. troops not assigned to EUCOM, is not a SOFA violation. When will NGAUS seriously engage this issue? This issue is now over 3 years old and nothing has been done.
