Congressional Caucus on Black Men and Boys CCBMB serves as a vehicle to elevate and address chronic issues that disproportionately affect black men in education, criminal justice, & employment.

Mission: The Congressional Caucus on Black Men and Boys serves as a vehicle to elevate, expose, and address chronic issues that disproportionately affect black men and boys in the fields of education, criminal justice, employment and health. In order to accomplish this vision, the Caucus will educate members of Congress and their staff, on these issues, and advocate for legislation, policy and action that will provide solutions to improve the quality of life for black men and boys in America.

Black workers consistently have higher unemployment rates than whites, but the dispersion is even worse for America's youth. Nearly one in four black 16- to 24-year-olds was out of work in November, compared to only about one in ten white workers in the same age group.
