Congratulations to our 7th grade owl athlete Kya for her recent competition at the nationals track & field event at . Kya competed against the best hurdlers from all over the U.S. in the 100-meter hurdles and set a new personal record by decreasing her time from 17.2 to 16.5 seconds.

Fun Fact: Kya was the only middle school lady hurdler in the entire DC public and charter league to qualify for this competition. 👏🏾🏁

We believe knowing another language is a superpower. Our Multilingual Learner (ML) program serves over 100 students from PK-8th grade, reaching their English language development goals through reading, writing, speaking and listening.
