It's time to party Manor Park. Come out to Fort Slocum Park, ahead of the June primary, to support our next Mayor, Janeese Lewis George! We'll be having a Memorial Day cookout, followed by canvassing our neighbors! RSVP and please share with your friends, family and neighbors.

We'll have games, fake tattoos and other events for kids as well.

I received the following request from DC Water requesting overnight work hours:

I am contacting you today to request extended overnight work hours to allow sufficient time for the new large-diameter sewer main pipe to properly cure, while also ensuring contractor safety and maintaining the quality of work during the sewer lining installation and required bypass operations at this location. To successfully obtain the required Extended Overnight Hours Permit to do the work, we must first receive a letter [or email] of support from you, so here we are😊

As for specific location(s), date and time, they have the following:
400 Block of Oglethorpe Street NW

We're requesting to work over a span of a weekend from Friday at 7:00AM to Monday at 7:00AM.

With your support, they would like to begin working the requested extended overnight hours as soon as possible.
