The third annual 602 Day was a huge success! Over 450 organizations participated in the annual celebration, including many in District 8. Throughout the day, I visited the Arizona Science Center, Scooptacular, Turquoise Wine Bar, Grant Park and joined Mayor Kate Gallego at the Chase Field.

Thank you to everyone who helped make 602 Day such a memorable celebration of Phoenix.

Over 650 attendees joined us for my second annual Community Cookout. This year the Hermoso pool was open and we hosted the first ever community car show. Congratulations to the South Mountain Community Choice Award winner, the Bel Air! 🏆

May was filled with meaningful conversations, community celebrations, and partnerships that continue moving District 8 forward. It was a busy month with neighborhood meetings, youth engagement, my Second Annual Community Cookout, and announcing our partnership with Maricopa County on Eviction Diversion Pilot Program. A special thank you to Chair Kate Brophy McGee and Supervisor Steve Gallardo for their partnership and commitment to supporting housing stability.
