"[Interning with] NMSHSA was a life changing experience because I gained knowledge about myself that I never knew was unique or even important. I love NMSHSA because coming from a very small town in Colorado I did not know much about the outside world and they took me to our nation's capital to learn to advocate, tell my story, and gain experience that would help us achieve our goals after college."
