Sadness overhangs Woodson Banneker Jackson-Bey Division #330 as we mourn the transition of our sister member Dr Lydia 'Akila Karima' McDaniel. An activist and advocate for human rights who proclaimed that her purpose and mission in life was to aid in the improvement of men, women, and children mentally, physically, culturally and spiritually through educationally based projects, workshops and other human and holistic services.
Over the last two years Sister Karima was in consultation with the Division 330 leadership and activists in York, PA on establishing a UNIA-ACL Division in that city where she was the organizer of an annual international cultural festival. This April, Division 330 would have, for the first time, had representation. She will be sorely missed by all those with whom her presence has touched their lives. Our condolences go out to her family members, relatives and friends. Photo shows Dr Akila Karima receiving the Marcus Mosiah Garvey Award for Outstanding Community Service at the Division #330 2018 Kwanzaa Nia celebration.

Take note Black folks. We are seeing here the type of supporters that the Venezuelan government is getting from the people of Venezuela and it goes without saying that African descendants of Venezuela understand where they were before the Bolivarian revolution and despite the consequences of supporting Maduro's government they are solidly standing and marching with him. Long live the Bolivarian revolution.

Live From the South: President Nicolas Maduro spoke at Venezuela’s anti-imperialist rally where he praised the courageous Venezuelan people, particularly women a day after International Women’s Day. We have more on this and other stories now.

In Venezuela, White Supremacy is a Key to Trump's Coup

UNIA-ACL members must be vigilant and not allow the lies from the #POTUS and his neocon cabal in the White House to affect our vision of the reality of Venezuela.
