Brass City Local CACP The Waterbury Police Union was chartered by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees on April 13, 1964.

The Waterbury Police Union is a member of the Connecticut Council of Police Unions, AFSCME, Council 15 and the AFL-CIO. The Waterbury Police Union, local 1237, represents all sworn officers in the department from the rank of Patrolman up to Assistant Deputy Chief. The mission of the union is to engage in collective bargaining with the city, to insure safe working conditions, and to protect the wel

fare of its members. Working in conjunction with the police administration and city leaders, the union strives to provide quality police service to the citizens of the City of Waterbury.
