🚸Crossing Guard Coverage 🚸

We want to address a concern that was brought to our attention this morning regarding crossing guard coverage.

The safety of our students is a top priority, and we understand the importance of having a crossing guard present at each designated station. Moving forward, we will ensure that a crossing guard or police officer is assigned to every station on every school day.

We are currently short-handed on crossing guards and are looking for dependable individuals who would like to make a difference in our community through rewarding, part-time work.

Know someone who may be interested? Please encourage them to contact City Hall at 618-939-8697 for more information about becoming a crossing guard.

Thank you to our crossing guards who help our students get to and from school safely each day—and thank you to our residents for bringing concerns to our attention so we can address them.

Water which will be used for DRINKING and/or COOKING purposes should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least five (5) minutes before use. Also, please turn off any ice makers and discard and ice produced. Once service has been restored, flush your water lines by running cold water through your bathtub or outside faucet for at least 5 minutes. This helps clear out any air or debris that may be in the system.

If you should have any questions please contact Public Works at 618-939-8600.

Residents are currently being contacted by door hanger.
