School District of Waukesha

School District of Waukesha Our Mission: To develop in our students the capacity and skills to be community, college, and career ready.

The School District of Waukesha is located fifteen miles west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the rolling hills of Waukesha County. With over 10,000 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade served in our 20 schools, we are the seventh-largest school district in the State of Wisconsin. Our schools include three comprehensive high schools, three middle schools, and 11 elementary schools. In add

ition, we serve students in four charter schools: Waukesha STEM Academy, which has two campuses—STEM: Elementary for Grades K-5 and STEM: Saratoga Campus for Grades 6-8; Waukesha Academy of Health Professions; Waukesha Engineering Preparatory Academy; and eAchieve Academy. We proudly offer a well-established Dual Language program to our students in Waukesha, as well as families who Open Enroll beginning in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten. Our dual-language program is a two-way immersion program. Students speak different home languages and are learning the target language, in addition to English. The program's goals are to help students develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and biculturalism. Since June of 2025, we proudly boast that 430 students have obtained the Seal of Biliteracy and 150 students have been recognized as Global Scholars. Finally, in academic excellence, both the Waukesha Engineering Prep Academy and the Waukesha Academy of Health Professions were honored for earning national recognition as Project Lead The Way Distinguished High Schools.
