The Waycross Police Department served a search warrant in the 2300 Block of Eastover Drive on Wednesday, September 2nd at approximately 9:00 a.m. after a lengthy investigation on the whereabouts of Kendrick Butler. Butler was connected to a shooting and robbery that occurred in the 300 block of Garlington Avenue. Additionally, evidence was recovered connecting Butler to gang activity. During the warrant service, three people were taken into custody. Kendrick Butler (19), was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Possession of Crack Co***ne with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Scheduled IV Drug with Intent to Distribute, and several counts of Participation in Gang Activity. Phillip Goodman (33), was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive, Possesion of Crack Co***ne with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Scheduled IV Drug with Intent to Distribute, Forgery, and several counts of Participation in Gang Activity. Tomeka Stewart (30), was charged with Forgery, Possession of Crack Co***ne with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Scheduled IV Drug with Intent to Distribute.

Waycross Police Department is investigating several felony counts of damage to property. Three suspects were seen committing the acts while driving the vehicle pictured. We are seeking help from the public with anyone having any serveillance footage between the hours of 10pm July 23rd until 1am July 24th in the areas of Suwanee Drive, Dean Drive, Seminole Trail, and Shawnee Drive. On 07-23-2020 at around 6:55 PM, after a short investigation, the Special Operations Section along with Uniform Patrol of the Waycross Police Department, served a search warrant for Sales of Crack Co***ne in the 1100 block of McDonald St. While serving the search warrant, contraband/evidence was found that led to the following charges on the following people who were at the residence : Art Dukes (55), Don Dukes (57),Toni Davis (40), Walter Dukes (63), Masheba Morris (44), Michael Taylor (55), and Quheilious Barnes (23). All were charged with Possession of Crack Co***ne, Possession of Crack Co***ne with Intent to distribute, transactions of controlled substances within 1000 ft of a housing authority, and Possession of Drug related objects. Toni Davis was charged with an additional charge of Forgery 2nd degree.

Waycross Police Department have had several complaints about a scam. If the number 1-832-871-4715 or 1-469-754-3665 calls you do not give them any information. People are calling from these numbers acting as if they are the Social Security Office or the Social Security Police. The person will state that you were a part of a case that happened in Texas involving m**h or some other type of drug. The person will ask for your information and state that they will pay you $30,000.00. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!

On June 20th, 2020 Officers of the Waycross Police Department served a search warrant, after a lengthy investigation, in the 1100 block of Folks Street. Alzado Seymore age 34 of Waycross was arrested. Seymore was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a housing authority property, and possession of a controlled substance with Intent to Distribute along with other various charges.

The Waycross Police Department is currently holding active warrants on Kendrick Sharvez Butler (age 18) for Aggravatted Assault, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. We are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.
