It’s almost time! The District-Wide Summer Reading Kickoff is happening THIS Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Roo Stadium! Everything will take place under the shelter of the bleachers, so the fun will happen no matter what the weather is doing outside! Come enjoy free food, games, prizes, and FREE books—it’s the perfect way to launch into summer reading.

As an added bonus, Scholastic will be there with a Buy-One-Get-One-FREE Book Fair! Make plans with friends and family to come stock up on great reads!

And don’t forget—Curtis Library Therapy Dogs Lacy and Lindy will be there, too! Bring the whole family, and come celebrate reading with us. We can’t wait to see you there!

The countdown is on for our District-Wide Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Roo Stadium! This come-and-go event will be packed with free food, games, prizes, and FREE books for summer reading fun.

Here’s a little extra motivation: the campus with the highest attendance will win an ALL-SCHOOL POPCORN PARTY! 🍿 So rally your friends, represent your school, and come join the fun. We can’t wait to see if our campus can pop to the top!

Get ready to kick off a summer full of reading fun! Join us for our district-wide Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Roo Stadium!

This exciting, come-and-go event is the perfect way to launch into summer reading. Students will enjoy free food, fun games, awesome prizes, and—best of all—FREE books to take home and read all summer long!

Families can explore booths from community vendors, play games sponsored by each elementary library, and stop by PTA stations for engaging activities that kids will love. There’s something for everyone, and you can stay as long (or as little) as you’d like!

Don’t miss this fun-filled morning celebrating reading, community, and the start of an amazing summer. Let the adventure begin!

It has been a fabulous week at the Book Fair! Thank you to everyone who has come out to support the ​Library and the kids of Curtis! Remember, the Book Fair ends at noon tomorrow. As an added last-day bonus, ​anyone who buys a ​book ​tomorrow morning will get a FREE mini pocket pet! Also, Lindy and Lacy, our beloved Library Therapy Dogs, will be here tomorrow morning to love on ​all the shoppers. We ​hope to see you one last time tomorrow morning!
