Honoring a life of service and creating a legacy that will continue for generations!

The Sarah Beckstrom Memorial Fund has been established through the Webster County Community Fund to honor the life, service, and legacy of U.S. Army Sgt. Sarah Beckstrom.

Administered by the Beckley Area Foundation, this endowed fund will provide lasting support for charitable initiatives throughout Webster County, with preference given to programs supporting military families, veterans, youth leadership, civic engagement, and community-based support services.

Sarah served her country, and through this fund, her legacy will continue to serve the community she called home. ❤️🤍💙

This morning, there were no television cameras. No large crowds. No fanfare.

Just family, friends, veterans, neighbors, and a community that paused for a few quiet moments to remember one of our own.

Together, we unveiled SGT Sarah Beckstrom's Hometown Heroes Banner, where it will stand as a daily reminder of her service and sacrifice.

We also had the honor of presenting Sarah's mother with a Gold Star Service Flag-a symbol no family ever wishes to receive, but one that recognizes the extraordinary sacrifice her family has made for our nation.

It only took ten minutes.
But for ten minutes, the world slowed down. We remembered Sarah. We honored her family. And we renewed our promise that her name and her legacy will never be forgotten.

Sometimes the quietest ceremonies leave the greatest impact.
