It can be difficult to stay active when its cold outside. Create a playroom in your home where your child can ride small bikes, push toys, pull wagons and dance. This could be a room, part of a room, garage, or basement. Collect a variety of toys by going to thrift stores with your child. Collect toys that let your child use their imagination. You can even build a playhouse with your children by draping blankets on chairs, large boxes and other furniture. Put pillows and stuffed animals inside the playhouse. Make a tunnel by lining up the kitchen chairs and throwing a blanket over them. Children love to crawl and tumble around.

Do Beans Really Make You Fart? An Investigation.

Do you avoid beans because you are worried about getting a stomachache--even though you know how good they are for you?
A couple ideas to make make you more comfortable:
Introduce beans into your diet slowly to allow your body time to adjust to the increase in fiber intake.
To decrease the gas-inducing sugars in the beans:
Soak dry beans in water for 12 hours before cooking them, and drain and rinse canned beans before adding them to your recipe.

Let's just say their reputation is overblown.

Whether your toddler loves or hates water, I bet they love doing things by themselves!
.
And you probably noticed that constant reminders to eat/drink may actually lead to eating/drinking less.
.
😉 So instead, we can use their natural powerful drive to be independent and learn new skills to help drink more.
.
The easiest way to do it is by teaching them to pour their water into their very own cup.
.
Here is how:
1️⃣ Use a light easy to use water pitcher. A plastic measuring cup is a perfect training tool.
2️⃣ skip sippy cups. They don’t help with oral motor development. Small open cups work the best. Straw cups work well on the go.
3️⃣ fill the pitcher with a little water. It needs to be light enough for your toddler to pick it up easily.
4️⃣ serve it at meal and snack times and make available between eating opportunities. I used to have both the pitcher and the cup on a chair in the kitchen so kids could get some water whenever they were thirsty.
.
5️⃣ expect something mess as they are learning!
.
Do your kids love pouring/playing with water?
