West Allis Boycotts The Drunk Uncle Unsavory behavior from the owner of the Drunk Uncle has come to light and needs to be addressed.

Neal's hearing is today at 4:30 at City Hall. I can't tell by the agenda whether the hearing will be in closed session or open to the public. I will not make the meeting today but for those who are so inclined please do. I'm assuming the meeting will be on the City's YouTube page. I'm hoping the proper decisions will be made. Be well.

It's been confirmed that the meeting this Thursday at 4:30 is Neal's hearing.

There is a special meeting of the Public Safety Committee on Thursday, April 17th at 4:30. No agenda has been released yet but I think this may be the hearing for Neal.

The meeting was quick.The city attorney explained to the Common Council that Neal was going to be brought up to the podium and asked whether he admits or denies to any and all of the complaints against him. If he admitted to them they would move forward to suspend his license. If he denied they would have to call another quasi-judicial meeting within 10 days.

The attorney called Neal to the podium and asked if he had received a list of complaints against him. He said yes. The attorney then asked if he admitted to or denied any and all charges against him. He denied them all. The Council will now choose a date for the next meeting. They did not read aloud or specify the nature of the complaints.

We met the prosecutor and talked to him. The next meeting will be open to the public. The complainant he is representing is the West Allis Police Department in response to complaints filed with them. Those who have filed complaints will testify at the next meeting and the prosecutor will present his case for Neal's license to be revoked.

In which case this next meeting is probably the most important one to show up for. Let's show up first and foremost to support the victims, secondly as concerned citizens of West Allis, and finally to let Neal know the people are holding him accountable.

There is a special Common Council Meeting this Thursday, April 3rd at 5pm and complaints against Neal are on the agenda. This is another chance for the community to show up and see this through.

The Drunk Uncle has been operating without a State Seller's Permit and that is the reason why the City of West Allis served the owner with a notice of non-renewal for a Liquor license. Let the DOR know that an establishment is operating without a Seller's Permit.
