Go right for sirens and lights – you just might save a life.

No matter how late you are or how important your destination is, please follow the law. Pull as close to the right side of the road as you can and stop.

Our West Chester Fire Department has seen several instances recently where cars fail to stop and yield to emergency vehicles. Be sure to not stop in intersections, but get right and stop unless otherwise directed by law enforcement.

Consider that a person you love may be in that EMS vehicle or a family member may be in that house a firetruck is heading toward. Do the right thing -- go right for sirens and lights.

E-bikes and e-motorcycles may look similar, but Ohio law treats them very differently.

An e-bike has operable pedals and a motor of less than 750 watts. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes may be operated just like a normal bicycle, while Class 3 bikes require the operator to wear a helmet and be at least 16 years of age. Riders must follow the same traffic laws that apply to bicycles.

E-motorcycles generally have motors exceeding 750 watts and are legally treated like motorcycles. Operators must have a license. The vehicle must also be titled, registered, insured and display a valid license plate.

Some electric motorcycles are manufactured only for off-road use and cannot legally be operated on public roads.

Before you ride, know what type of vehicle you have and the laws that apply. Helmets and high-visibility protective clothing are always recommended.

Bunny is a 4-month-old Aussie mix rescue who never met a dog she didn't want to play with. She made her market debut at the KidBiz booth last week, and she's back again this week ready for more.

Her favorite things in life are refreshingly simple: the water hose and a good stick. Give her either one and you've got a friend for life.

Come say hi to Bunny this Saturday at The Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and be prepared to make a new best friend!

Project Heart ReStart recently donated 11 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to the West Chester Police Department. The organization has now given more than 630 AEDs throughout Butler County, Hamilton County, northern Kentucky and south-eastern Indiana.

Funding for Project Heart ReStart comes from independent donors, local hospitals, businesses, and Rotary Clubs. They've collected over $1.2 million so far!

By equipping our police officers with AEDs, we are expanding the availability of early defibrillation throughout our community and strengthening the chain of survival. In cases of sudden cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation significantly decreases a person's chance of survival.

We are grateful for their generosity and support in helping us place these lifesaving devices into service. Our West Chester Police Department and Fire Department collaborate to provide the highest level of emergency care and improve outcomes for those experiencing cardiac emergencies.

C3 does so much good work. Please consider supporting this effort if you are headed to tonight's 6 p.m. Takeover show at The Square with Michelle Robinson and her band!

07/29/2026

Little princesses and princes were out singing and dancing and wearing their fresh, fancy clothes last Thursday, when the Little Mermen brought their Disney-themed show to The Square.

The Takeover show was fun for all ages, featuring hits from The Lion King, Moana, Frozen, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast and, of course, The Little Mermaid. It was a high-energy show with dazzling costumes, talented singers and musicians, and a setlist spanning over 60 years of Disney hits.

Be sure to catch the final Takeover of the season on The Square this Thursday at 6 p.m., when Nashville recording artist and Cincinnati native Michelle Robinson and her band take to the stage!
