Although they misspelled my first name, I won’t hold that against them!

I value the rights and liberties of all women and men and their right to choose - all the way to their conception. They are not property, and I hope to help change the hearts of those who believe that any human life is the property of another.

In the heat of the election season, AJ, Wally and I took a trip to Miami University to see Bernie Moreno and Vivek Ramaswamy hosted by the Miami University College Republicans.

Many of the remarks were great, and the boys took away from the event that one of the most important differences between the two parties is that Republicans and conservatives believe in the opportunity to achieve what you choose and that success is based on your effort, ideas and all that you bring to the table as well as your own definition of what success means in your life.

Democrats and liberals are largely dedicated to equality of outcomes and wealth redistribution regardless of what you bring to the table, your efforts etc. (wiping student debt, giving money for business startups, free money for housing to name a few), and that the government should play a bigger role in our lives (talk of limiting freed speech, gun control, among other things).

The parties are very different. The philosophies are very different. I have heard Democrat candidates in Butler County say that party doesn’t matter, but it most certainly does. It is a vast divergence of philosophies about everything from taxes and spending to our liberties to independence or dependence on the government to the security of our border.

We had a great kickoff to the voting season this morning in the parking lot behind the Board or Elections (we didn’t do it our front because we wanted to make sure voters could enter to Board to vote).

We had a great lineup of guests and speakers from the Bernie Moreno bus which also included Bridget Moreno, Tennessee Senator Tim Hagerty, Butler County Republican Party Chairman Todd Hall, Gary Cates, Ohio GOP Chair Alex Triantafilou, Butler Countu Commissioner Don Dixon, Clerk of Courts Mary Swain, Auditor Nancy Nix, State Senator George Lang, State Representative Jennifer Sherwood Gross, State Rep candidate Diane Mullins, West Chester Trustee Mark Welch, Liberty Trustee Todd Minniear, Trenton Council Member Floyd Croucher, Lakota School Board member Isaac Adi and many others including a Democrat Council member who proudly identified herself in our crowd!! We are winning them over!

There is a lot of energy out there this year. We cannot let up - we have to make sure we get to the polls along with all of our friends and family.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

It was great to meet with dozens of friends at Shooters in Hamilton for a debate watch party sponsored by the Butler County Republican Party.

There is a lot of passion out there for this year’s election.

VERY IMPORTANT!

If you live in Butler County, you will be voting on levies this fall - there are 11 tax levies on the ballot in November, so some communities may have more than others.

You can check how these tax levies will affect your property taxes by visiting the Butler County Auditor's web site and searching for your property. Then click on the "Levy Calculator" link on the menu bar indicated in the photo I am attaching.

I am putting the link to the property search in the first comments.

Feel free to look up anyone's address in Butler County - tell your friends how they will be affected by the levies.
