By catalyzing, convening, and championing partnerships, we'll ensure Central Ohio's growth includes plans to preserve and expand people’s access to nature. RAPID 5 seeks to radically redefine our region’s quality of life, by uniting our five major waterways running through Franklin County – Big Darby Creek, Scioto River, Olentangy River, Alum Creek, and Big Walnut Creek. Our plan is intended to b

e much more than a parks or green space master plan. Our vision is to change our mental maps from freeway networks to greenway and blueway networks. We want to embed nature into every aspect of our region’s development—into our civic DNA. When fulfilled, every resident will live within 1.5 miles of a park or greenway. Central Ohio will be home to the largest interconnected park system in the nation.
