Caturday Spotlight: Peanut 🐈🥜

Meet Peanut! Peanut is super sweet, but she can be a bit shy when meeting new people. However, once she opens up, she’s a huge cuddle bug! She does well with other cats and loves a good cheek scratch!

Peanut would do well in a home where she’s able to take some time to decompress. Once she comes out of her shell, she’d love a nice couch to cuddle up on and if you have another cat in the home, we’re sure she would love some kitty friendship!

Peanut has been at the shelter for almost 100 days. Could you be the one that gives Peanut her second chance?

💡🐶 Adoptable spotlight: Meet Coffee Bean!

Coffee Bean is a big ball of sunshine and such a sweet baby! Coffee Bean is heartworm positive but since he’s a part of our Healing Hearts Program, his adoption fee covers the cost of his treatment! The sooner he gets adopted, the sooner he can start his treatment and be heartworm free.

Someone who took Coffee Bean on a doggie daycation had this to say about him: “He is such a lovable mush. If he could, he would have crawled into my son’s skin and stayed there.”

Let’s get this sweet boy adopted so he can start his new life, start his heartworm treatment, and start snuggling up next to you!

‼ Notice of Animal Care and Control facility closure to the public ‼

As part of the ongoing renovation project at Palm Beach County’s Public Safety Department Animal Care and Control Division, the facility’s water lines will be upgraded. To complete this work efficiently, Animal Care and Control will be closed to the public on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The facility will reopen to the public on Friday, September 11, 2026, and normal public operations will resume.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we continue making improvements to the facility.

Don’t kitnap!

If you ever see kittens alone, *wait* before you scoop them up! Their mom is likely nearby, getting food or hiding from you! Observe the kittens for 24 hours and if mom doesn’t show up, then you can bring them to a shelter.

It is imperative that whenever possible, we keep mom and babies together. These kittens need their mother to survive, and they have a much higher likelihood of survival if they stay with their mother!

Help spread the message! And don’t kidnap!

Clear the Shelter's Crescendo Event 2026 was a huge success! 💙

Thank you so much to all of the guests and vendors who attended this event! We ended with 18 adoptions of dogs, cats, and even a rabbit!

Additionally, over $1,200 were raised in the raffle and those funds will go toward supporting the homeless animals of Palm Beach County. If you'd like to lend your support as well, donations can still be made at https://donate.clearthesheltersfund.org/page/palm-beach-county-animal
