Brothers,

Tonight will be our first Fellowcraft Club meeting since March and before the covid-19 shutdown. The meeting is at 8. However per New York State & Grand Lodge Guidelines things will be different tonight. The senior warden on behalf of the worshipful master will be enforcing social distancing at the meeting. No mask, no admittance to the building and meeting. The mask must be properly worn. An officer will be at both doors to make sure this enforced upon entering. Hope to safely see the brothers tonight.

The Masonic Lodge #1111 of West Seneca is doing a food drive to help feed the families of our local communities. We are partnering with Feed More WNY and Friends of Night People, both charities that help families all across Western NY. The Pandemic has changed our daily lives and impacted so many people, The families that struggled before this are struggling more now. Lets help our neighbors and show that we have not forgotten about them.
I was charged by the Grand Lodge in NYC to host this food drive. It is sad to know that there are families that go to bed hungry.

You will be receiving a summons for a special communication, to be held September 14th starting at 6:30PM at the Lodge. There has been direction given from Most Worshipful William Sardone Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York. The business of the evening will be:

Elections of Officers
Installation of Officers
Budget Review and approval


There are some rules that we will have to strictly adhere to in an effort to ensure everyone’s safety. These include, but are not limited to:

Social Distancing
Masks will be required
No Hand Shaking


The Worshipful Master and your Officers are working to ensure that this business can be conducted while keeping everyone safe. We want all to know that our Brothers’ safety is our FIRST priority. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at Lodge.

Latest edict from Grand Master Sardone. While originally considering a May 15th opening, he is now pushing it back to June 7th. Also now all officers who’s terms were set to expire this year will not be held in office for another term.

"It is my sad duty to report the passing of RW Anthony Olivieri to the Grand Lodge Above. He was in a coma Monday with his breathing labored, and passed away late Monday Afternoon. RW Tony was born August 8, 1927. He was Raised in Eggertsville Lodge # 1157 on November 19, 1968. He was a Mason for 52-years. He was Master of Eggertsville Lodge # 1157 in 1979. He was District Deputy Grand Master of the 1st Erie District in 1990. He was Master of Eggertsville-Grand Island Lodge # 1138 from 1994 - 1995. He was President of the Past District Deputy's Association from 1997 - 1998. In 2019 he was named a Grand Chaplain. Tony will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held at a future date. "

Happy Friday & Good Afternoon Brothers,

In these times of darkness and uncertainty we miss our brothers and going to lodge. Our pinned post currently has every event that has been canceled/postponed for the time being. With the ever changing situation we update this list with every event that is postponed or canceled. Currently the Memorial Day Parade in West Seneca has been canceled by the town in the best interest of everything that has been going on. We hope everyone has been safe and healthy during these times. Remember we will get through this. Hope to see all the brothers again as soon as we open.

The Veterans Committee announced on Friday that the annual tradition, which would have been on Monday, May 25, can not go on as planned ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Good Morning All,

It is my sad duty to report the passing of Worshipful Harry Howald. While not a member of West Seneca Masonic Lodge he knew a lot of our members in his 59 year Masonic career. He was master of Cornerstone Lodge in 2006, and when Cornerstone merged with Western Star, he was master of Western Star in 2008. He was also involved with The Ismailia Shriners, With the Covid-19 Pandemic right now, his services will be announced at a later time.

West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 Brothers, Spouses, Children, and extended family,



During this critical time I am asking, more imploring, that you keep yourselves and families safe. Please adhere to the edicts, executive orders, and laws of our Leadership and Land. Each one of us plays a part in this. Each one of us can have a positive or negative affect on our Community. The world has grown much smaller than we realize. The term community can now be interchanged with mankind, or humanity. We owe it to ourselves, the human race, to look out for each other through this pandemic. Your Brothers at West Seneca Masonic Lodge are here for you. Though we cannot meet, and be in one another’s presence we must not let our bonds of Brotherhood and Family be affected negatively by losing touch. We must strengthen those bonds. We must reach out and meet the necessities of those in need. Even if those needs are merely a discussion over the phone to offer respite from the stress of our current time. Our entire Masonic family should know, that right behind each and every one of us, there are Brothers who are in it with you and for you. Take a deep breath, relax, let the world slow down around you and know that you will be okay. If you need anything, please reach out to one of the Officers or a Brother and just merely tell anyone of us what is needed. It is our obligation, our duty, and most of all our honor to do whatever we can to meet those needs. May the blessing of God be on each of us on this, and every day.

Good morning everyone,

I have another postponement to announce. But prior to me doing it, we have had so many I realize the posts can get tricky, so in order below is everything postponed from West Seneca Lodge.

Our Lodge is Dark until further notice. We do not know when we will be reopening. While there is no date for re-opening Grand Master Sardone has extended the postponement of lodges meeting until June 30th, 2020. This could change again as we get closer.

Due to the lodge being dark until further notice everything going forward until reopening has been postponed/canceled. When we do reopen we hope to have the Past Masters Dinner, Awards Night, & the 25th Kids Escaping Drugs Breakfast at a later time.

Community Days 2020 has been canceled. We usually march in the parade.

Grand Lodge has been Postponed indefinitely.

All Degrees Currently are postponed indefinitely. This is an ever changing situation. We will work through holding other degrees this year. This is all I have for now, please everyone stay safe for the time being.

Due to the Covid-19 Virus, we have canceled this Mondays Meeting, and are postponing now our Annual West Seneca Lodge Past Masters Dinners, which was to be held March 21st..The Erie District Masonic Interfaith Breakfast as well has been postponed. Brothers & Surviving spouses from our lodge We hope you and your family's are okay. Please stay safe in these times. As of right now our April 6th, meeting is still a go. But if anything changes we will let the brothers know.

As the announcement was made yesterday on the 25th Annual Kids Escaping Drugs Breakfast, i would ask people share the flyer on it being postponed. It will not go on as scheduled. As we got the word out there so great on it happening at the end of the month, we would hate to have anyone show up with it being postponed. As the Cornovirus approaches Erie County, the senior warden has decided to postpone the Surviving Spouses Luncheon which was to be held on April 4th, 2020. As soon as we have a new date I will update you all accordingly. Also in the same fashion, a few other events maybe postponed. We will see how things go over the next few days, months and weeks. Please be safe out there.

Two weeks from now is the Past Masters Dinner. Free to All Past Masters who are members of West Seneca Lodge, there spouses and the surviving spouses. Cocktails at 5, dinner at 6:30 with a Ceremony at 7:30. Any brother who isn’t a past master or a surviving spouse it is 5$ to attend. Please RVSP to the Junior Warden if you plan on attending.

Good Morning all. Don’t forget tonight is our annual Chili Cook Off. Lodge opens at 7:30 tonight, spouses are invited. There will also be a Wine Tasting Event put on by Worshipful Ed Draves. Brothers from West Seneca make your best chili! Also in two weeks the Counsel of Lodges will be meeting at West Seneca. Brothers from West Seneca are strongly encouraged to make that meeting.
