Please have a healthy and safe Memorial Day Weekend!

As we welcome the unofficial start to summer please know we anticipate a busy weekend! Before traveling we strongly encourage you to check https://parks.ny.gov/parks/ for park closures and https://511ny.org/ #:Alerts for traffic updates.

Many state parks and beaches have reduced parking by 50% and popular destinations will close early as lots fill. Do not park along roadsides or other undesignated areas. Plan ahead by checking our website and having alternate destinations ready if needed. When visiting please:

▪️Wear a mask or face covering WHEN social distancing is not possible, this includes on the trail and at the beaches and boardwalks
▪️Keep your blanket and chairs 10 feet from others
▪️Refrain from group sports and activities
▪️Give other visitors space on trails and in common areas
▪️Be prepared—facilities are limited and some amenities may not be available
▪️Leave no trace—pick up trash, carry in, carry out

Thank you, by working together we can help stop the spread, keep visitors and staff safe and enjoy the outdoors. 🌞🌊🌳
