I’ve been a resident of West Warwick for over a decade, but my ancestors on my mother’s side (the DiCaprio’s) have resided here prior to West Warwick even being established. They settled on Prospect hill in the 1890s when they came to America from Italy, and they worked in the mills & factories of this town. They farmed the land, and they attended church and school here. They laid down roots here and those roots run deep, and I’m laying down roots of my own. I bought my home in this town, and I’m raising a family here. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a volunteer youth boxing coach in the town for almost a decade, and it’s been an absolute blessing to give back to my community in such a way. But I feel like I can do more for my community, because as a tax payer of this town, I see where the town has missed the mark and come up short. From astronomically high property taxes, struggles to keep businesses, and homelessness. I’ve witnessed it all, and I feel like I can help provide solutions, so that’s why I’m throwing my hat in the ring and running for town council of West Warwick in Ward 3.
I’m not a politician and I’m not rich financially. I’m just a regular middle class father and coach from Arctic who wants to see his community prosper and will fight for his constituents. 🇺🇸🥊
