LRS Introduces New Billing and Payment Portal:

Customers were recently notified of the transition to a new billing/payment portal. Payment methods and/or AutoPay will transition to the new system. Users need to create a new account on the new payment portal to access online account information, once a invoice has been received.

The National Weather Service Chicago is warning of potentially severe weather on Wednesday afternoon and evening - including strong thunderstorms, hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado is possible.

Post-Storm Branch Collection on Tuesday/Wednesday:

Tree branches that fell during the storms may be placed at the curb for collection. Please do not block sidewalks or roadways with any debris. Collection will begin on Tuesday and is expected to take two full days. Public Works will make one pass on each street. Please have all fallen branches to the curb by Monday. Do not include any additional yard waste.

If branches are not out in time for collection, the resident should arrange for disposal through the LRS yard waste program or with a local landscaper.

A couple of storm updates:

The Village is in close touch with ComEd regarding ongoing power outages. ComEd mobilized a full storm activation response on Wednesday, and is working to restore power as soon as possible. If your power is out, call 1-800-EDISON1, go to ComEd.com, use the ComEd app, or text OUT to 266-3.

Fallen branch collection will begin on Tuesday. Please place all fallen branches at the curb, without blocking sidewalks or roadways. Public Works will make one pass of each street and is hoping to get through the Village in two days.

The Western Springs Recreation Department has fun for all ages planned this summer!

Be prepared for severe weather throughout Thursday afternoon and evening. Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings and have a plan in place.

There is a threat for strong (EF-2+) tornadoes across northern Illinois this afternoon between 4 and 8 PM. The highest threat will be in the dark red shaded area. This area has shifted farther south than previously forecast. Take tornado warnings seriously, and have multiple ways to get warning information today.
