Pittsburgh Regional Transit has proposed major changes to bus lines in our area, and they are asking community members to weigh in. Residents can learn more about the changes and comment by going to www.buslinerefresh.com. The public comment period will run through September 30th.

Join the McCandless Environmental Advisory Committee for an upcoming workshop on suburban-scale permaculture and ecological restoration. Learn the basics of permaculture design, growing your own food, and choosing plants that support our native ecosystem.

❗️❗️Please be advised that Matcon Diamond plans to complete the following roads for the Town of McCandless Crack Sealing Program between August 31, 2026 (today) and Friday, September 4, 2026:

-Grubbs Road – from Ingomar Road to Pine Township Line
-Bellcrest Road – from Pine Creek Road to Ingomar Road
-Old Perry Highway #1 – from Perry Highway to Perry Highway (CCAC College)
-Harmony Road – from Highland Road to Woodland Road
-Old Perry Highway #3 – from Perry Highway to Perry Highway (Baierl Subaru)
-McCandless Drive – from Blazier Drive to Grubbs Road
-East Arcadia Drive – from McKnight Road to Parkedge Drive (private drive)
-Meinert Road – from Pine Creek Road to Franklin Park Line
-Blazier Drive – from McCandless Drive to Pine Creek Road

⭐️Please note that this is weather dependent, roads will not be closed during this time and the contractor will have flaggers in place to assist. Work hours will be between 7 AM and 7 PM daily.
