The details are out for our annual Independence Day events, and we are excited to partner with Montgomery County, MD Government and Montgomery History to make this year's events extra special in honor of the Country and County's 250th!

These events are designed to bring our community together in a safe, welcoming environment where people of all ages can make lasting summer memories with family, friends and neighbors. Our outdoor pools are an important part of what makes summer in Montgomery County special, and we're keeping safety top of mind! I am incredibly proud of our aquatics team, who work hard to provide safe, welcoming spaces where residents of all ages can stay active, connect with neighbors, and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Great visits to Damascus CRC and Wheaton High School this weekend to see our AWESOME Montgomery County Recreation flag football program in action! Thanks to the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders for joining us to close out the season. 🏈 And of course a big shoutout to our Rec team members who help keep this program growing season after season.

Montgomery County, MD - Executive Marc Elrich is looking for applicants to fill vacancies on the Montgomery County Sports Advisory Committee!

The committee, staffed by Montgomery County Recreation, studies sports participation and opportunities in the County, recognizes outstanding teams and athletes and makes recommendations to the County Executive and the Montgomery County MD Council.
