The Friends of the Wheelock School House take great pleasure in announcing the recipient of our 2026 scholarship award, Carley Frank. Carley, a native of Wheelock, is set to graduate from Franklin High School this week. She is the daughter of Ed and Rena Frank of Wheelock and has been an active participant in the Friends of the Wheelock School House. We are delighted to recognize Carley's achievements.

This video is amazing! It expresses so well why we are working so hard to save the Wheelock School. We are forever grateful to the family of Michael C. Duda and the Texas Historical Foundation for awarding us the very first Michael C. Duda award for historical preservation and restoration. It is a tremendous honor and we hope we have made them proud. Enjoy this video and thank you for supporting the efforts of the Friends of the Wheelock School House as we continue our work to save this historic community gathering place.

Bring your family to come see Santa on Thursday, Dec. 18th at the Wheelock School. We will have Christmas crafts, a dinner of chopped beef sandwiches, chips, and a drink, time to visit with Santa, goodie bags for the children, and we’ll raffle off our 2025 quilt. This is a free, family friendly event open to the public! Come get in the Christmas spirit .
