D23 HORIZONS JUST GAVE DISNEY FANS A LOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO. ✨🏰🚢
If you thought Disney had big plans already… just wait.
Last night’s Horizons: A Disney Experiences Showcase was packed with announcements for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort AND Disney Cruise Line and some fan favorites are making some pretty exciting comebacks, too! 🎉
Here are a few of the announcements I’m most excited about:
🏰 WALT DISNEY WORLD
😈 VILLAINS LAND IS GETTING REAL
We finally got more details about the highly anticipated Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom, including TWO major attractions!
One will be a thrilling Maleficent coaster that takes guests through her briar covered fortress, while the other will be a Magic Mirror dark ride filled with Disney Villains. Of course, themed dining and shopping are coming too.
🏎️ PISTON PEAK
The Cars inspired area coming to Magic Kingdom is taking shape! Piston Peak will bring a Rocky Mountain inspired landscape to the park along with TWO attractions! An off-road racing adventure and another experience designed for the whole family.
👻 WELCOME TO MONSTROPOLIS
We got another peek at the Monsters, Inc. land headed to Hollywood Studios, with new looks and details surrounding the attractions, dining, shopping and immersive world Disney is creating.
🌴 TROPICAL AMERICAS
The transformation of Animal Kingdom continues! The new area will include Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, the previously announced Encanto attraction and a new carousel.
🦖 THE YETI IS COMING BACK TO LIFE!
This one got a HUGE reaction. The legendary Yeti inside Expedition Everest is finally set to return to action!
💜 FIGMENT + DREAMFINDER ARE BACK!
Journey Into Imagination at EPCOT is getting a complete reimagining! And yes, BOTH Figment and Dreamfinder will be part of it.
🌐 A NEW CHAPTER FOR SPACESHIP EARTH
EPCOT’s iconic attraction will also be reimagined, expanding beyond the story of human communication to explore the bigger idea of human connection.
✨ DISNEYLAND RESORT
🚀 A NEW TOMORROWLAND
Tomorrowland at Disneyland is getting a makeover, with new attractions, refreshed open spaces and a renewed focus on innovation, optimism and the future.
💀 COCO IS COMING TO DISNEYLAND!
The new Coco attraction will take guests on a musical adventure alongside Miguel through the Land of the Dead and there will be NO height requirement, making this one the whole family can experience together.
We’ll also see refreshed versions of beloved nighttime favorites Remember… Dreams Come True and World of Color in 2027.
🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE
✨ MEET THE DISNEY BELIEVE
The newest Wish class ship is scheduled to set sail in late 2027! We got our first look at a Moana inspired Grand Hall, plus exterior details featuring Woody and Buzz and Tinker Bell.
🌊 AND AN ENTIRELY NEW CLASS OF DISNEY SHIPS IS COMING
Beginning in 2029, Disney Cruise Line plans to introduce THREE ships in a brand new class.
They’ll be larger than the Disney Wonder but smaller than the Disney Wish, giving Disney more flexibility to explore new destinations and itineraries around the world.
And believe it or not… this is only scratching the surface.
Disney is heading into a HUGE era of expansion, and my travel advisor brain is already thinking about the trips I’ll be planning around these new experiences. 😍
