Passion, drive and commitment. This is the foundation in which LiteBrite LLC was created. We believe that our educators are amazing men and woman who deserve the best in career development. We bring a love of learning, a high level of professionalism and a vision to change the face of "training" for the adult learner. Excitement through collaboration, networking and relationship building create the environment where the adult learner can flourish and in turn, make significant impact in the lives of children and families. In connection with the Maryland State Department of Education, our company strives to always be one step ahead in offering professional development designed to catapult our educators from a "job" to a career.

Reopen schools with a 'golden age of play'

As schools re-open, they should adopt a 90-day "golden age of play," a transitional period when traditional academic education should be balanced as much as possible with learning through play, physical and creative outlets and mental health counseling write William Doyle and Pasi Sahlberg

'THE LORAX' by Dr. Seuss - Read by Danny DeVito"

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, and there is no better way to celebrate this occasion than to have Dr. Seuss’s good friend Danny DeVito read 'The Lorax'.

Today, on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day the Lorax’s message is even more relevant. Dr. Seuss’s beloved story teaches all of us to speak up and make a difference. The Lorax tells the story, in a playful and hopeful way, of the beautiful Truffula Trees and the danger of taking our earth for granted. The book teaches us that just one small seed, or one small child, can make a difference.

“UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”

Hello Everyone!
During this difficult time, I've been thinking of ways that we could somehow still be connected, while doing our part to stay socially distant. I'm also aware that children need more ways than ever to stay creative, curious and wanting to learn. Starting tomorrow, I'll be releasing a little home video each week to correspond with each episode of JULIE'S GREENROOM on Netflix, which celebrates the ways in which the arts enrich our lives. I'll also be suggesting interactive and arts-related activities for kids to explore and share. Join me here on my page, and let's have some fun!

Learning Wild

You are going to come across a lot of app based websites and teacherprenuers that are going to try and capitalize off of the sudden catapult of children into home based settings knowing you need to keep your children busy while you may be working from home. They will tell you to buy their packets of premade worksheets and activity ideas. They will tell you thousands of other children have learned to read with their app. ⁣

Don’t fall for it. Young children don’t need worksheets or apps to learn. All you need to do is let them play. With activities they choose. Indoors or out. That’s it. That’s the secret to teaching a preschooler. And if you don’t believe it, send me a dm and I’ll fill your inbox with articles and research galore to prove it.
