SUN Bucks benefit distribution begins tomorrow for families with children who were approved for SUN Bucks 2026! The $120 one-time benefit (per eligible child) will be loaded onto a family’s existing EBT card or on a new EBT card that will be mailed to the family’s home.

Benefits are expected to be distributed in order of last name over the next week.

If you did not receive a SUN Bucks approval letter from DCF, but believe your child may be eligible, you can submit an application at SUNBucks.dcf.ks.gov. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2026.

While using your benefits, watch out for skimming devices and track your purchases with the ebtEDGE mobile app or at ebtedge.com. Learn more: ebtcards.dcf.ks.gov.

💚For Mental Health Awareness month, Kingman Healthcare Center and its Senior Life Solutions program once again sponsored a coloring contest at the local elementary schools. Hospital staff voted on the winners, who received gift certificates to Daydrinkers Café in Cunningham, Daily Grind in Norwich, and Tornado Sno in Kingman! 🥰We loved seeing these positive and uplifting messages brought to life, in color. Thank you to Melinda and Jerika for organizing this activity!

Put a spring in your step and make sure you move at least 150 minutes a week or as little as about 20 minutes per day. Doing so will lower your risk of some serious health conditions.
