– The Burdett, KS, on June 1, 1935. This is one of several rural twisters captured that day in central portions of Kansas, though few people were affected. This photo is from Thomas Grazulis’ book Significant Tornadoes, cited to the Western History Collections at the University of Oklahoma. He notes that it caused F1 damage along a southeastward moving track, starting about 7 miles NW of Burdett.
