In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Warren County REMC (WCREMC) is taking the steps necessary to ensure it can continue providing safe and reliable electricity service to its members throughout the crisis. This includes making necessary changes to our operations to limit the potential spread of the virus, while we continue to provide uninterrupted service to our members. WCREMC continues to coordinate its COVID-19 response efforts with Indiana state officials, and we are closely monitoring this situation.

WCREMC's mission is to provide our members the ability to access affordable, reliable electric service options that support and simplify their lives. To do this, we need to protect the health and welfare of our employees, members, and the communities we serve.

WCREMC recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to have a significant impact on our economy and cause stress and financial challenges for many of our members. To assist our members who are struggling financially due to this pandemic, WCREMC is suspending late payment charges and service disconnections for nonpayment.

Members who are having difficulty paying their bills are encouraged to contact WCREMC by calling (844)224-0710 to learn about bill assistance programs, special arrangements and community support services that are available.

We appreciate our members understanding and patience, as WCREMC responds to this public health crisis, while continuing to provide our communities with the electricity they need. We encourage all our members to follow public health officials' guidance on what they can do to protect themselves and their community.

***NOTICE***
The safety and well-being of our Membership and employees is of utmost importance to Warren County REMC. As part of that commitment, and, due to the concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and following the recommendation of the CDC, the Board of Directors and Management of Warren County REMC has made the decision to postpone the Cooperative's Annual Meeting that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Beef House Restaurant.
Earlier this week, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has urged limits on gatherings over 250 people. The Cooperative Annual Meeting usually attracts more than 600 people.
The Cooperative will continue to monitor the situation to determine if the meeting can be rescheduled and held at a later date. We will keep the Membership informed of any additional decisions through the Indiana Connection newsletter, website, page and local media.
Thank you for your understanding during this time.

In this month's issue of the Electric Consumer, there is an article titled "The audit that helps you save". At the end of the article, it states that you can "call us and schedule your free energy audit today". This is a misprint. We do not have the equipment or a trained person on staff to do an energy audit. We apologize for the error!

07/26/2018

There has been an accident reported that will require the REMC to have the power out for approximately 1-2 hours on the Bolivar line. (North of 300 S, East of 500 E) Our crew is there now working to get the line back up and the power back on. Thank you for your patience!
