The Parents Fund of Williams College exists to enhance and protect the College’s commitment to the education of promising, talented young people.
The Parents Fund exists to enhance and protect the College’s commitment to the education of promising, talented young people and their development into thoughtful citizens and effective leaders. Since 1821, generous gifts from alumni, parents, and friends have helped to offset the gap between tuition revenues and the cost of providing a Williams education. Each year, parents are invited to honor this philanthropic tradition by making their own gifts to the Parents Fund. About 50 families make the additional donation of their time and serve on the Parents Fund Committee as volunteer fundraisers. Williams’ tuition and fees cover only part of the more than $90,000 annual investment Williams makes in the education of each and every student. Gifts from generations of parents and alumni make up the difference and truly sustain Williams as a world-class liberal arts college. Your own gift benefits your student—and every other Williams student!

Celebrating the Class of 2017 at Williams’ 228th Commencement, June 4, 2017.
Spring has arrived at last on the Williams campus! As students submit final papers and problem sets, and power through exams, they are already looking ahead to summer jobs and internships. They have firmed up their living arrangements for the fall, and are counting the days until they scatter for the summer.
In celebration of the graduating Class of 2017, we have received a $75,000 challenge from a P’17 (and soon to be PAL) who has pledged to give $100 for every Parents Fund gift made by May 31 – be it $10, $25, $50, or any amount up to $100…and if your gift is over $100, they’ll match it dollar for dollar until the entire $75,000 challenge amount is unlocked and claimed. That’s right – every gift earns at least $100 for Williams!
