STORM SAFETY ALERT

The Monroe Township Police Department & Office of Emergency Management remind everyone to use caution as heavy rain and strong, gusty winds continue to impact our area.

Conditions may result in localized flooding, downed trees and power lines, power outages, and road closures.

Remember:
• Never drive through flooded roadways — Turn Around.
• Never drive around barricades or road-closed signs.
• Stay away from downed trees and power lines — always assume wires are energized.
• Secure outdoor furniture, trash cans, and other loose items.
• Limit unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain and high winds.
• Give emergency, public works, and utility crews room to work.

Stay alert. Stay safe, Monroe Township!

Cecil Fire Company is saddened to hear of the passing of NJFFS C-4 Section Fire Warden and past Cecil member Quincy Jones. Quincy’s dedication to emergency services and helping others was spread throughout South Jersey and never went unnoticed. Quincy was always a friend to all, we will take it from here brother.

The officers and members of Cecil Fire Company would like to congratulate our Deputy Chief, John VanLeer Jr on his promotion to Sergeant! Well deserved! 🎉

Last night, the Monroe Township Police Department was proud to hold a Promotional and Swearing-In Ceremony before Mayor and Council, recognizing several members of our department as they take the next step in their careers.

As a result of recent retirements within the department, the ceremony formally recognized both yesterday’s promotions and also members who had previously assumed their new ranks:

Promoted to Lieutenant
• Pete McBride
• Anthony Rivera
• John Hennessy
• Donald Darcangelo

Promoted to Sergeant
• John Vanleer
• Andrew Sharp
• William Pintozzi
• RJ Heffner

The evening also included the ceremonial swearing-in of three of our newest police officers. These officers were hired earlier this year and have since successfully graduated from the police academy:

Sworn In as Police Officers
• Justin Rossi
• Kyle Bowers
• Joshua Bevan

We congratulate each of these officers on this important milestone and wish them continued success as they take on their new roles and responsibilities.

The Officers and Members of the Cecil Fire Company wish everyone a Happy and Safe Labor Day.
