Friends of Monroe Township Economic Development Commission This group is in no way affiliated with any political organization or any governmental unit. The meetings are open to the public.

The purpose of this group is to promote the efforts of the Monroe Township Economic Development Commission in developing new commercial ratables, advertise and promote existing businesses and foster a positive economic climate. This group is merely supportive of the efforts of the EDC and exists in a "friends of" capacity. The EDC meets in the court room of the Monroe Township Municipal Building on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7PM.

The Monroe Township Economic Development Commisson is filming professionally produced commercial interviews at NO COST to Monroe based busineses or the taxpayers. If your business is interested in having a video professionally produced, please message us. All businesses are considered, but there are limited spots available. Some really big things are coming soon from the Monroe Economic Development Commission! Yesterday we filmed the first 3 commercial interviews for local businesses. In all, over 52 commercials will be professionally produced at NO COST to the businesses or taxpayers thanks to the volunteering efforts of Monark Media!! A new commercial each week will be published soon! Also, work has begun on the Monroe Business Directory. This directory will include all registered businesses in Monroe Township. The residents, businesses and governmental units will be easily able to use these directories to shop Monroe first!

The Monroe Township Economic Development Commission extends our sincere condolences to Mayor Rich DiLucia and his family on the passing of Mayor DiLucia's wife, Anna Marie DiLucia. She was a very sweet and classy lady, and she will be missed by all.

Anna Marie DiLucia nee Kucharski, age 79, of Holiday City in Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away on May 16, 2021. Beloved wife of Richard L. DiLucia. Devoted mother of Alice Pollag Rick, Richard DiLucia Paula, Joe DiLucia Tracy, and ReRe Devine John. Loving grandmother....

The Monroe Township Police Department would like to congratulate Chief Craig Monahan, Deputy Chief Gene Sulzbach, Lieutenant Mark Burton (not pictured) Lieutenant Ryan Borkowski, Sergeant Edward Brown and Sergeant Peter Mcbride on their promotions. The ceremony was held tonight during the Council meeting. The newly promoted Officers were sworn in by Mayor DiLucia before family, friends and fellow officers. Congratulations Gentlemen on your new positions and we look forward to many years of dedicated service.

***Vaccination Event***

Inspira Health is joining up with the Monroe Township Public Schools at Williamstown High School for a vaccination event.

Our ENTIRE community is being offered the opportunity to receive the Pfizer vaccine with NO appointment needed!

Just walk up to the GYM at Williamstown High School on Monday, May 10th to receive the first dose between 3PM – 5PM.

Second doses will be given June 3rd.

Students 16 and older are eligible!

The Monroe Township Economic Development Commission extends our sincere condolences to the family of Ernie Carbone. Mr. Carbone served both as a member and the Chairman of the Monroe Economic Development Commission. He also served as a board member of the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Carbone had a passion to expand Monroe's economic growth, and he worked tirelessly to promote Monroe as a destination location for any new or expanding business. .

Mr. Carbone's obituary is below:

Ernest W. “Ernie” Carbone, age 82, of Holiday City in Williamstown, NJ, passed away on April 6, 2021.

Ernie served the Philadelphia Police Department for over 24 years before retiring as a Lieutenant. After retiring, he later worked for his son’s business, E3 Enterprises and was involved in various capacities for Monroe Twp. Ernie enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Patricia A. Carbone (nee Ciancaglini). Devoted father of Eric Carbone (Grace) and Ernest W. Carbone, III (Jessica). Loving grandfather of Christina (Alex), Ernest W., IV, and Louis. Dear brother of Maria Sacco (Gaeton) and Barbara DeCorso (Richard). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, April 14th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ernest’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St. #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
