Drop In Practice Group — Maria Kahn

The November Mindfulness Meditation Drop-in class will focus on establishing a meditation practice. This class is for beginners who are new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners who want to deepen their practice.

We will discuss and practice letting go of the "I" in "I'm meditating" to find our way to a deeper connection with our sense of wellbeing, both on and off the cushion.

Class meets Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
November 1st, 15th & 29th. Attend as many session as you like.

Drop in fee $25.00 Pre-registration is required. Seating is limited.

Cushion and chairs are both available. Feel free to bring your own cushion.

2. They believe they are doing it wrong if their mind wanders and quit trying.

3. They use it only as a reaction to stress and blame meditation often saying "it doesn't work for me".

On my recent trip to California, I set an intention to reground in my spiritual practice. I did not set out to attain anything; I used my mindfulness practice to be open to how that intention might unfold. I took some time to meditate at the top of a mountain in Joshua Tree. As I sat in the beauty of the landscape, breathing in and breathing out, the face of Gandhi began to appear. At first I could not believe my eyes, but as I sat in awareness, the image gradually became clearer and clearer. I felt the blessings of all of my spiritual teachers all at once. It was an overwhelming experience.

I am grateful beyond measure for my mindfulness practice; to be awake and aware enough to receive this gift.
