‼️ UPDATE ‼️
‼️ Immediate Release ‼️
The Williston Police Department had some very special visitors today! Officer Roberts stopped in today after being gone for many months battling COVID. We were all ecstatic to see her back at the Police Department.
We would like to extend our thanks to the Community for all of the support we have received for Officer Roberts and her family during this trying time.
Last night was the 1st Citizens Academy Class of the year. We are so excited to have this program back up and running! The students learned about Traffic Stops and DUI's from Officer Jesse Weicht. Participation was great and they all had some really great questions. One student, Nicole Slater, was "voluntold" to participate in the walk and turn demonstration. She made the whole class laugh, along with the instructors. What a great first night launching the Citizens Academy. We will keep you posted with more classes to come!!
Members of the Williston Police Department had as much fun, if not more, than the kids who attended the Williston Community Library Easter Egg Hunt. What a great time! Thank you to all who attended and made this event a success.

Yesterday, School Resource Officers from the Williston Police Department delivered Valentine's Day cards to K-4 classrooms around Williston. The Valentine's featured the Williston Police Department K9 Officers Sisu and Kreed.
The Williston Police Department began handing out Valentine's to K-4 students in 2020. Since then, it has become a tradition to hand out Valentine's featuring the Williston Police Department's K9 Officers as a fun way to introduce the community to our 4 legged officers!!

Happy National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!!
The Williston Police Department has partnered with Williston Public Schools for the School Resource Officer (SRO) program since January 2015. The SRO program covers all Williston Public School District #7 schools that fall within the city of Williston.
The SRO program has been beneficial to both Williston Public School District #7 and the Williston Police Department in building connections with our youth in the community and law enforcement.
We are so grateful for our School Resource Officers!
