We have 13 weeks (91 days) left until the 125th Stancil Family Reunion on Sept. 27 at the Wilson Moose Lodge in Wilson, NC. We will keep you updated as the reunion approaches. Expect an announcement on the website (and an email) when the t-shirt design is ready as we will be taking orders for the shirt and hat. If you are attending, please let us know so we can prepare nametags ahead of time. Also, let us know if you have news/photos to share with us. Great news! The website (stancilreunion.com) has successfully transferred to the new web host (CloudFlare) without any issues. Many of the pages have been (and are being) added to. As always, feel free to share any images or stories with me for the site with a message here or email [email protected]. Also, please share any good news or photos we can use in the next newsletter. Lots of things are happening! Good morning. This is Ty and we are getting ready for the reunion, which is just over three months away. More on that shortly. The biggest thing is that I have been spending the last four months (on and off) is on refreshing the website, stancilreunion.com -- not a major overhaul, but lots of structural changes with more archival material. It just looks and feels a lot cleaner and easier to navigate. The major step is changing web hosts -- which will happen this week -- which may mean the site is down for an hour or 12 hours depending on how things work. Just wanted to offer this update. But while I am here, feel free to reach out with any details or photos we can add to the site.

Also, we are working on a reunion shirt design, ordering new hats and getting the newsletter going. Please remember to come to the reunion on the fourth Sunday of September, Sept. 27, at the Wilson Moose Lodge. And please send me some updates we can use in the newsletter with photos.

As we head into summer, we're already busy getting ready for our annual Stancil Family Reunion! Please mark your calendars for Sunday, September 28th, 2025. We'll be gathering from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wilson Moose Lodge, 2705 Forest Hills Rd SW, Wilson, NC 27893.

We know this first reunion without our beloved Renn Stancil Hinton, who passed away on December 26th, 2024, will feel different. Mom poured so much love and effort into organizing these gatherings, and we're all still feeling her absence, just as many of you are grieving your own losses. I know her email address is the one you would more likely recognize.

This year, more than ever, we hope you'll consider coming together to share in some great food and, most importantly, to swap stories and memories. Even if it's been a while, or if you've never been before, everyone is truly welcome. It's a chance to lean on each other, reconnect, and celebrate our family's enduring bonds.

We've been hard at work updating stancilreunion.com! The site has been cleaned up and we're adding more biographies, photos, and features. We'd love to dedicate more pages to our relatives, so if you have stories or photos to share, please send them our way!

Looking forward to seeing Stancil cousins at the annual family reunion on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Wilson Moose Lodge in Wilson, North Carolina. We start registration at 10 a.m. and it runs through 2 p.m. A covered-dish lunch starts about 12:15 p.m. Please join us as we gather for a fun time.

The 123rd annual Stancil Reunion in Wilson, NC, is quickly approaching. Preparations are underway for the gathering from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Wilson Moose Lodge, 2705 Forest Hills Road SW. All Stancil cousins are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring a dish for the pot-luck lunch, which starts around 12:15.

Among all the usual notes, please:
1 let us know as soon as possible if you are attending so we can prepare nametags ahead of time (don't worry if you have a change in plans and can't make it)
2 let us know by Aug. 24 if you have news to share for the reunion magazine. It is being worked on now, but feel free to submit any news and photos to share with all. News would include births, deaths, engagements, weddings, honors, new jobs or special family gatherings
