This Tuesday, April 6, an eight-mile roadway improvement project on Route 403 in Paint Township (which I represent), as well as Shade, Quemahoning, Paint and Conemaugh townships and Hooversville and Benson Boroughs in Somerset County, will get underway. Resurfacing will take place from Route Wilbur Road to the Route 219 Intersection.

On Tuesday, tree trimming work will begin and minor delays are possible with daylight flagging operations. Temporary signals will also be in place to fix the super-elevation on a portion of the roadway. Other work on the project will be completed under short-term daylight flagging operations.

Overall work on this project , which should be competed in late September of this year, consists of minor earthwork to improve the roadway elevation, milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, guiderail upgrades, and sign upgrades.
