The Story of Windcrest

The City of Windcrest was incorporated in 1959 by Murray and Barbee Winn who sought to create a unique community where people could live and raise their families in a tranquil and safe environment. Our city is a thriving suburban hamlet conveniently located in the northeast area of San Antonio, Texas, the seventh largest city in the U.S., along the IH 35 North corridor with quaint mid-century architecture, live oaks, homes with modern design, quiet streets and thriving businesses. With a citizen population of approximately 6,000, residents enjoy a localized, small-town atmosphere with lush parks and exceptional city services such as a truly professional Police Department protecting the City 24/7/365, an incredible Volunteer Fire Department, vigorously maintained City streets, and first class water from two providers. In excess of 250,000 visitors and vehicles travel through the City daily. Known nationally for our annual holiday light display, the future for “The City of Lights” is very bright. In 2008 Rackspace, one of the nation’s leading internet-hosting firms, chose Windcrest for it headquarters. This ushered in a new era of urbanism for Windcrest which allows residents to live, work, play, and learn all-within Windcrest!

SAN ANTONIO ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME Saturday, 5 p.m., Alamodome $6.50 per seat. Come see some of the finest high schoolers in the area as they compete one last time before their home crowd, against some of the best seniors in the city!
$7K REWARD for the return of our 2 Missing Golden Retrievers! They were lost by the Rover sitter on June 18th at the address 18385 Babcock Rd, San Antonio TX running toward Camp Bullis Rd and the Lutheran HS. Acoria is 7 years old, 80-90lbs and wearing a pink Star Wars collar. Ripley is 4 years old, 70lbs and wearing a purple polka dot collar. Both had our info on their tags. Both are micro-chipped and spayed (green tattoos on their bellies). If you have found, seen or know where they are, we beg to call us. Thank you. Please share with you family and friends. We are hoping for a Christmas miracle ❤️🙏🏼 https://www.facebook.com/BringAcoriaandRipleyhome/
I recently moved to the area from across town and I’m looking to find new clients in the area... I have plenty of reviews and testimonials as well as experience. Feel free to message me or look me up via Rover!!

Can we do something about the lanes exiting Windcrest from Crestway onto Randolph? This is usually a two lane turn left onto Randolph towards 410 and 35, but since the new pavement people are confused and are acting as if this is a one lane turn left and straight. Please fix 😀 thanks.
🤩Remember when it snowed in 2017? I'm hoping it will snow again this year!
I live on Dalecrest (cul-de-sac). Site of the BIGGEST TRAFFIC JAM during the light up. It can take up to 30 minutes to get to Roosevelt HS, or just of my Cul-de-sac. Can I turn left onto Windway? Will there be police to monitor and direct traffic there?
How about some traffic control at the corner of Windway & Dalecrest during the lightup?
The City pool will be closed tomorrow because of a water leak in men's restroom.
