On Friday, May 15th, the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office was proud to welcome Jude Rinehart of Pratt, Kansas. Jude has developed an impressive collection of more than 94 law enforcement challenge coins and has a strong appreciation for law enforcement and public service.

During his visit, Jude had the opportunity to tour the Winfield Police Department and Winfield Fire/EMS Department. He was then officially sworn in by Sheriff David Falletti as the Honorary Sheriff of the Day. He toured the Cowley County Emergency Communications 911 Center before heading home with his parents.

The Sheriff’s Office was honored to spend time with Jude and his family. His positive attitude, strength, and enthusiasm were truly inspiring to everyone he met. We appreciate the opportunity to make this a special day for him and wish him and his family all the best moving forward.

This fake court document is continuing to make its rounds in our area. It is a scam, and should be deleted and reported as spam to your cell phone carrier should you receive it. Legitimate courts would not reach out via text message seeking payment. Please share this post to help spread the word of this scam.
