Our Seat Our Table will be attending the Florida Herbal Conference Virtually this weekend, beginning this evening. There is still time to register. Contribute to the conversation - grab your donation-based ticket and see all the schedule details here: Florida Herbal Conference, February 25 - 27th https://program.floridaherbalconference.org/about/?utm_source=2021+Master+List&utm_campaign=04cde595bd-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2021_02_18_10_40_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_5f73238f1d-04cde595bd-&mc_cid=04cde595bd&mc_eid=UNIQID

Whether you hail from Florida or another state, we all know that the pandemic has hit our communities harder than we could have ever imagined. Many folks in our communities are experiencing disproportional burdens from this pandemic - highlighting the disparities in healthcare and the economy that have already existed for centuries in this country. That's why we've gathered four of our past keynote speakers - Linda Black Elk, Sobande Greer, B Anderson and Jody Noe - to share a candid and important discussion about Community and Herbalism in the Pandemic Era at the tenth annual Florida Herbal Conference this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, February 27, these herbalists will discuss how their work has been transformed during the last year. They will share ways that we as herbalists can support our communities through plant medicine. They'll explore how the plants show up for us towards the goals of healing and justice - and, in turn, how we can show up for the plants and for our communities. We know this conversation is bigger than one panel at one conference. It is our hope that this dialogue on Saturday will water the seeds that we have planted at past conferences through the Affinity Space and the Unity Circle. We hope that Saturday's panel will nurture conversations that we can then carry forward from this weekend, both within our herbal community and outside it, to share with our neighbors, our families, our students, our clients, and our friends.
We know that the plants reflect the healing that's possible when we align with nature and reflect the teachings of the earth in our lives. We know that no one of us can be truly healed until we are all healed. It is our hope that as herbalists, we can contribute collectively to true healing in our communities.

And we hope you'll join us on this journey.
