Madison County Fair, Iowa

Please take the time to read the below information about The 2020 Madison County Fair!

Madison County Fair 2020 Update
As we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Madison County Fair Board along with Madison County Extension and Outreach and Madison County Emergency Management are working collaboratively to make the best possible decision for the 2020 Madison County Fair. As we continue to plan for a fair in July, a committee has been formed to evaluate options for this year to meet the needs of our youth and community. Information available from the State of Iowa, County Health, Iowa Association of Fairs, 4-H, and FFA will be used to evaluate options. A decision regarding the 2020 Madison County Fair will be made in the next month and will be communicated via our normal channels - madisoncountyfair.net, Madison County Fair, Iowa page (@MadisonCountyFairIowa), Madison County Fair Instagram account (@madctyiafair), Madison County Fair Twitter (@MadCtyIaFair), County Extension email distribution lists, and local newspapers. In the meantime, we encourage youth to keep working on projects as our intent is to have a fair, even if it looks different from previous years. Thank you to all invested in the Madison County Fair and we ask for your continued patience as we work through the details.

The 2017 Madison County Fair has started and I wanted to give a shout out to our great Extension staff and host of volunteers! As Superintendent of the 4H and FFA Static Exhibits at the fair, most of our work goes on before the first day of the fair. Can't thank them all enough for their hard work -- Monday was judging day and it went very well -- better than I could ask for on a very busy day!!! The great things at the fair far out weigh all the other stuff -- Know you are all very appreciated!!! Go out and enjoy the fair!!!
